Energy Swords
Energy swords have been created first by the Federation during The Void War in 2348, allowing ship crew to defend themselves and fellow crew. Such weapons were extremely deadly, cutting clean through body parts and even armored vests with some difficulty. The Federation's tech carried on when the Federation renamed themselves into the UEG (United Earth Government)/Solgov.
The Syndicate, looking for technology to weaponize against their common enemy, Nanotrasen, stole the blueprints and research of the energy sword and energy technology from the UEG/Solgov. The UEG/Solgov didn't respond to the stolen tech that The Syndicate uses as they didn't have the power to respond to the threat. Nanotrasen then stole the stolen energy technology from the Syndicate, matching and even surpassing the power of the Syndicate.
The energy sword was first theorised by the ancient movie "Star Wars" when the energy sword was named the "lightsaber". The strength of the energy sword was the same as the closest movie version of it with the energy sword being able to deflect projectiles and reflect lasers.This weapon is one of the deadliest weapons known to man due to it cuts clean through and prevalence.
