Plight of Detectives
Written By: John Primarch
Non-Fiction
The detective is likely the most underused part of security, as they have limited access, high demands, and little trust given to them. With all these factors in mind, they can seem inactive, but this is really their mind hard at work, or they're bored.
What a detective wishes for is a good mystery, and if that can't be given, a good interaction would suit their needs. Without either of these, a detective can fall into a drunken stupor, often seen at the local bar, or dwelling in the darkness of the back alleys, and maintenance shafts. If they have not fallen to alcoholism, or suicide, they become mindless, reporting on the smallest of infractions, and to the common radio chatter too, with sayings such as
"Found a dead mouse in south escape maint." and what have you.
No one will truly understand the plight of the Detective, as their job is limited without station help.
