How to Awaken your inner Phase, by a Mime.
All sapient life is endowed with certain abilities which can not be realisticly predicted or controlled without training. This ability is the Phase. To Phase is to manipulate the world beyond that of the visable eyes, on a higher level which does not affect more simple minds. There is a single pivotal factor within Phase that must be mastured if the practitioner has any hope to evoke it in a controled mannor. That factor is self control. Without this, a Mime is utterly incapable to evoke the focus needed to Phase. Thus, mimes must take a vow of silence, and must practice the self controll needed to keep this vow. Any failures, no matter how minute, symbolize a catastrophic faliure of the user's ability to Phase.
