Have I ever told you about the defenition of insanity?
Chapter 1

Open, chew, swallow.
Eating, it's a vital part of every human beings life. A rather uneventful one, too. Which is why I'm confused at to why I'm thinking of it now. I mean, I have no reason to? Sometimes I just felt I needed to focus on the smaller details. The ones no one cares to think about. I looked down into my bowl of bland cereal, a random brand. I didn't even care to look what it was when I made the purchase.
Open, chew, swallow.
Anyhow, it still tasted as bland as a shoe, so I discarded it and got dressed, ready to start the day. As I walked out, I grabbed my car keys from a dish I had strategically placed next to the front door so I wouldn't forget them.
Driving to work was just as exciting as eating that cereal. The turns got more and more boring with each passing day, eventually turning into a routine. And finally, I reached my place of work. For a living, I worked a 9 to 5 in a cubicle,
next to all the other sods who can't get their life together. Not like I could either. I was constantly reminded of my worthlessness through the noise I had to endure every day, people shouting over the room, clicking of mice, a constant ding of notifications, phone calls, all mixing into a horrible muck of sound. It hurt my brain trying to process it all. As the day goes by, it gets more stressful. I can barely think when the day is done. When it is, it's back home for a dinner that can only be described as...

Bland. That's all my life is, all I've accepted it to be. Never dreamed big since I left school. Now I just work, all that's on my mind really. Work. Work. Work.
