The Past & Future Of NanoTransen
----------------------------
-2522-
The Nano-Plasma Corporation is founded by Nathaniel Teller when he trikes plasma on the asteroid he inherited from his recently deceased grandfather. Teller becomes a billionare over night and uses his new found riches to buy up increasingly distant plasma asteroids.
----------------------------
-2538-
The Nano-Plasma Corporation forms a merger with it's main rival PlasmaTransen and rebrands as NanoTransen, gaining over 200 new plasma mines. Unfortunately, the increasing distance of said mines is becoming a problem for employee moral and fuel consumption. NanoTransen begins using it's newly aquired resources to work on a solution.
----------------------------
-2540-
NanoTransen launches 'Space Station 1', it's first prototype station designed for permanent residence around plasma astroids. Space Station 1 spends the next 7 years as NanoTransen's Central Command (CentComm) for their mining operation.
----------------------------
-2548-
Space Station 1 sustains massive hull damage in a meteor shower, killing 36% of it's crew, costing NanoTransen millions in damages and compensation. The newly launched 'Space Station 9' replaces it as NanoTranen's Central Command and primary mining source.
----------------------------
-2552-
Thee new stations are launched; 10, 11 and 12, with 'Space Station 13' expected to be completed in just under a year, set to embark on a 2 year journey further into deep space than any man made object has before.
----------------------------
-2553-
Stations 10, 11 and 12 have been in operation for almost a year without incident and Space Station 13 is completed and launched on it's 2 year journey to the outer reaches of the galaxy.
----------------------------
-2554-
The invention of condenced plasma and lighter ships makes faster than light travel possible (at a high price) cutting travel time between stations nearly in half and Space Station 13 is halfway to it's destination. The emergence of the Syndicate Allience and the Wizard Federation become a growing concern after Space Station 11 is held hostage for almost 3 weeks and Space Station 8 mysteriously goes missing.
----------------------------
-2555-
Space Station 13 reaches it's final destination and immediatly becomes the most profitable of NanoTransen's mining operations, making the company billions in it's first 3 months of operation. NanoTransen is alerted to the fact that Space Station 13 may be a major target of both the Syndicate Allience and Wizard Federation. They relay this information to the station, but it arrives too late. The nuclear device at the heart of Station 13 is mysteriously activated, destroying the station and it's 846 crew members.
----------------------------
-2557-
After a year of lawsuits and investigation, NanoTransen musters up what it can and pays off the government to rule Space Station 13's destruction an accident. NanoTransen launches Space Station 14, which would be it's last mining station to be built.
----------------------------
-2558-
NanoTransen's 35th anniversary celebration is inturrupted by the assassination of the company's founder, Nathaniel Teller by the Syndicate Allience. This would be their first brutal act in an extremely hostile take-over of the company behind closed doors. NanoTransen loyalists are either imprisoned or excecuted, except for those who swear their allegience to the Syndicate. NanoTransen soars higher than ever before under the Syndicate's control, becoming the most profitable mining operation in the galaxy.
----------------------------
-2567-
An emerging mining operation known as 'Narsicom' begins taking the plasma buisness by storm with a seemingly unlimited supply of plasma from an unknown source. NanoTransen sends a small team of Syndicate Agents to infiltrate Narsicom and discover the source of their plasma. They never return.
----------------------------
-2568-
A second, larger group of agents is sent to storm Narsicom and recover the recording devices implanted in the brains of the previous team. The new team discovers that Narsicom is run by a death cult that worship a giant alien they call 'Nar-Sie'. The team barely escapes with their lives and fail to retrive the recording devices.
----------------------------
-2570-
NanoTransen allies itself with the Wizard Federation and wages an all-out war against the cult of Nar-Sie in a blood soaked battle that would last the majority of the decade.
----------------------------
-2576-
Extensive loss sparks massive in-fighting between the remaining NanoTransen researchers and the Syndicate Allience. Those dedicated to their work band together and highjack a transport shuttle back to earth, going on to form the short lived company MicroPlasm dedicated to researching new uses for plasma. Those who remained to fight in the war we mostly destroyed when a nuclear strike gone wrong whiped out both sides of the conflict with only a few survivng to tell of what had happened.
----------------------------
-2584-
MicroPlasm's assets are completely liquidated after the company succumbs to finacial ruin and fails to secure a buyer, going down in history as the least profitable company in the history of the human race. Surviving members of the Syndicate Allience are found trying to salvage a mining operation on a nearby asteroid and are arrested. They are found guilty of multiple crimes and sentanced to death by lethal injection.
----------------------------
-2604-
The last surviving member of the old NanoTransen dies of natural causes. The wreckage of Space Station 8 is found on a barren asteroid over 2000 lightyears from it's original position. Because of the asteroid's unique atmosphere, the crew's bodies were perfectly preserved, most of them found with their chests ripped open. It is never fully understood what happened on that station.
----------------------------
-2610-
The last of NanoTransen's space stations are scrapped for parts. Dark matter is discovered as a more efficient fuel source, effectively ending the plasma era and starting a whole new conflict.
