Step One: Identify the Source of Your Distress
The most important part of panicking is to identify what to panic over. If there are multiple threats, the best course of action is usually to panic over the scariest, most dangerous, largest one.

Step Two: Loudly and Vocally Proclaim that You are Panicking about your S.o.D.
It is important, if you want panic to spread (and you do), that you tell everyone you can about it.

Step Three: Run Around Screaming in Circles
Many people overlook this stage of panicking. Experts will know to switch directions, flail about, and scream louder. Some people will even rarely knock things and people(!) over!
