Beginnings
The morning was warm. Although it was the dead of winter, the heating in my home gave me warmer, more comforting feelings reminiscent of summer. Something was different though. I had woken up earlier than usual, intentionally of course. The reason was that it was the day I started my new internship on Space Station 13. My purpose for being there was to learn about various jobs offered by NanoTrasen, but I ended up staying for another purpose. When I got onto the shuttle, I was in a nervous panic. What if something goes wrong? What if the station explodes? It's understandable, since I was in space for the first time. On top of my paranoia, I had no clue what I wanted to do on the station. Was medicine my thing? What about engineering? Or security? I haven't chosen, still to this day. All I could do was hope that one day, I would find out what I wanted to do with my life, and that the answer would come from Space Station 13.
