The Psychopath
The psychopath is the term given to those who display extreme signs of psychosis. A psychosis is a mental state which has a dangerous effect on the patient and the people around him. Psychopaths display a very real threat, as they are incapable of feeling empathy for others. This means that they do not care about others at all. To diagnose a psychopath, look for signs. A few signs include odd behaviour, hard upbringing, and violent behaviour.
The Sociopath
The sociopath is the term given to those who display extreme signs of manipulative behaviour. Manipulation is a logical, mechanical viewpoint on life in which the sociopath uses the emotions of others to get what they wish out of them. A sociopath is not always dangerous, most lead completely normal lives. Sometimes however, a sociopath will do anything to get what they wish, possibly even the taking of another life. That is why sociopaths are dangerous. Signs of a sociopath include excessive lying, emotional detachment, and risky behaviour.
Final Notes
Spotting these types of people is an extremely hard thing to do, most have had years of experience honing their skills and thoughts, and they pose an extreme threat to the safety of not just themselves, but to the people around them. Be extremely cautious around these types of people.
