Silent Security

Written By: Elric Positron

Non-Fiction
Security is silent because they don't know. In fact, nobody knows anything here. Everyone is against everyone, security exists to try and maintain order that never even existed, and that's the way it's always been. While you're screaming at the officer who's dragging you to a cell, he's the one trying to figure out why he was ordered to bring you there in the first place. In a reality where everybody is paranoid, the ones trying to stop rampant crime have no choice but to shoot first, ask questions later. Anything else could cause death and destruction for themselves, their mental well-being, and everybody else on the station. While security officers make poor decisions from time to time like everybody else, the crimes they are criticized for are often driven by the hatred of the crew. When security is frustrating you, it's not out of malice, but confusion.
